The Ice Queen seems to have been helping The Ice King. To stop The Prisoner from causing chaos, The Ice King modified a shard of The Cube, and used it to unleash the Ice Storm and summon the Ice Legion, an army of Ice Monsters, similar to the Cube Monsters. Later in Season 7, the ice in Polar Peak's dungeon begins to melt and threatens to let The Prisoner escape. In a cosmic storm, a fragment of The Ice Moon broke away and crashed into the island's ocean and drifts until it reaches the island at the start of Season 7. He brought The Ice Moon to Reality Zero, a place he thought to be isolated and safe.
The Ice King was forced to freeze the Prisoner, his knights and all he had acquired within his fortress. But The Prisoner, the Ice King's staunchest comrade wanted to use these items to alter Realities to their liking. One of the meteors that were launched from The Volcano hit Polar Peak, causing a crack to form.

The king was not pleased by this, and wanted to keep the whole map covered in snow.īecause of this, The Ice King used the Cube's power to stirr up a blizzard which covered the whole island and infested it with ice monsters. He was originally asleep in the frozen chambers of the ice castle, but was woken up by Polar Peak's ice thawing. The Ice King is the ruler of Polar Peak, which first appeared in Season 7 after the island's collision with the iceberg.
